In order to transfer data to the Pillar 2 module, it is necessary to create an interface structure. This structure defines the interface type (e.g. csv file, SAP, REST), the direction of the data transfer (import, export) and the destination of the data transfer (Pillar 2). Mapping translates technical IDs into more readable IDs (e.g. readable IDs such as INC-1, DT-2) or company-specific IDs such as account numbers. Examples of mappings can be found in the "Mappings" section under "Important Documents". Two mappings are required for the data transfer: an import mapping (EXT > IFRS) and a mapping from GTC to Pillar 2 (GTC > P2). Both the interface and the mapping need to be set up once and can then be used for multiple periods or different import files.
The following explanation illustrates the setup of an interface for a csv upload via the data transfer, the configuration of the two mappings and the import into the Pillar 2 module. For information on interface structures for data collection, advanced mappings and other interface types, please contact AMANA.
Creation of an Import Structure
The Interface Structure is part of the Master Data area in the 'Structure' section. A list of all existing interfaces is displayed. A new structure can be created using the 'Create' button.
For a csv Interface the following information is compulsory:
Name | Example Name |
Direction | Import |
Interface Type / Source | Standard (csv,txt,xls) |
Destination | IFRS |
Default interface | Yes |
Delimiter | Semicolon “;” Comma “,” Depending on the language of Excel (English Comma / German Semicolon) |
Data Settings First data row (row) | First row in the csv file that contains relevant data. Usually 2, if the first row is used for a header. |
Unit ID (column) | Column in which the Unit ID is written. Usually 1. |
Position ID (Column) | Column in which the Position ID is written. Usually 2. |
Value (Column) | Column in which the Value is written. Usually 3. |
Mapping Selection | The corresponding Mapping has to be selected in the dropdown menu. If the mapping is not yet established, the information can be added later by clicking on the pencil in the overview of interfaces. |
The data settings may look different depending on the structure of the import file.
Once set up, the interface can be created by clicking on the 'Save' button.
Mapping Setup Import to GTC
The Mapping translates the technical IDs to more legible IDs (e.g. INC-1, DT-2.1) or company specific IDs like account numbers. Examples of a Mapping file can be found in the section “Important Documents”.
Mappings are established in the section “Position mapping”. For a csv Upload to IFRS and then transfer this into Pillar 2 the following information has to be selected:
Applies to period | Please select relevant period |
Balance type | IFRS / Local GAAP |
Mapping type | External => IFRS |
Name of template | Please choose a name for the mapping |
Default mapping? | Check the box if Mapping is relevant for all CEs |
After the information is inserted, the Mapping is added with the plus on the left side. Information can be changed after establishing the Mapping with a click on the pencil or deleted with a click on the bin.
On the right side you can now see two arrows, one for downloading the mapping, one upwards for uploading a mapping. To install the mapping, a template can be downloaded by clicking on the download arrow. This template can be filled with the individual mapping, for examples please the section on important documents. It is important, that the Version contains any number, such as in the screenshot you can see below. When the Version number is added and the mapping is filled, you can upload the file with the upwards arrow next to the Mapping. If not already selected, the Mapping has to be selected in the interface structure, as explained above.

Mapping Setup GTC to Pillar2
Once you have completed the IFRS mapping, you will need to create a new mapping to transfer the data from GTC to Pillar 2.
Applies to period | Please select relevant period |
Balance type | BEPS |
Mapping type | GTC=> Pillar2 |
Name of template | Please choose a name for the mapping |
Default mapping? | Check the box if Mapping is relevant for all CEs |

Import
After the interface and Mapping are set, it is possible to perform an data transfer in the company module. The “Import” button is activated and can be chosen on the section “Import”.

In the import window, the Interface created can be selected and an Import file can be chosen. The import file is the csv file that can be created according to the structure setup (e.g. 1 row header, column 1 Unit ID, column 2 Position ID, column 3 value) For an example please the section on Important documents.
After the import the window shows a list of all data of the Importfile and the status. If the import was successful, the status is a green arrow, if not successful, the row shows a red mark and a message on why the value couldn’t be imported. If the imported data is to be added to the module, it is important to click on the “Save” button on the upper left of the window. If the Importfile is to be changed, it is possible to correct the Importfile and choose the “Import” button to repeat the process.
Afterwards you can add manual adjustments to the single positions in the Data transfer section.
Finally, the data from the copy of the tax calculation must be loaded into the Pillar 2 module. To do this, go to Pillar 2 => Entity Data Collection => Home and select the option "Copy from Tax Calculation".
