The Web Deploy packages can be selected in the following dialog. To do this, you must select the directory in which the packages are located and select the package to be imported (as a ZIP file). After clicking Next, the package content to be installed can be selected. Here the default settings can be accepted and confirmed with Next.

The application path must now be specified in the Application Package Information dialog box. This is the path where the application will be accessible in the future. Since in this case a concrete web page is created for each application (default website or server) and can be accessed under the server name or the combination of server name and port, no name may be specified here. The application path must be empty. The existing character string should be removed.
In the second part of the dialog the connection string to the SQL Server database must be defined, see figure. This must be done individually for each application to be imported. The connection string contains the target server as well as the database running on it and the logon information to be used. The exact connection string should be requested from the database administrator.
