Ebenfalls unter Datei -> Optionen -> Dokumentprüfung -> Rechtschreibung

findet man unter "Ausnahmen für" dokumentspezifische Einstellungen, z.B. „Rechtschreibfehler nur in diesem Dokument ausblenden“. Diese Einstellung wird im jeweiligen Dokument gespeichert.
In SmartNotes kann man diese Einstellung zentral in der Format-Vorlage hinterlegen. Sie wird dann an alle Schnipsel vererbt.

Ebenso kann man noch pro Style die Rechtschreibprüfung deaktivieren. Beim Ändern der Eigenschaften einer Formatvorlage kann man unter Format -> Sprache die Option "Rechtschreibung und Grammatik" nicht prüfen auswählen.

The option "Check spelling as you type" can be found in the open Word document under "File -> Options -> Proofing".

 It is a general setting of the WORD application. It is not saved in the current document, but in the normal.dot of the respective user.

Also under File -> Options -> Proofing

you will find document-specific settings under "Exceptions for", e.g. "Hide spelling errors only in this document only ". This setting is saved in the respective document.
In SmartNotes, you can store this setting centrally in the Word Layout Master. It is then inherited by all snippets.

You can also deactivate the spelling checker for each style. When changing the properties of a style, you can select the option "Do not check spelling and grammar" under Format -> Language.
