The Factory module is an addition to the SmartNotes editorial system. Through an extended range of functions, this module is intended to support the user in the creation of several similar reports [e.g. for HGB individual financial statements]. All previously known functions of SmartNotes remain unrestricted. The structure of the documents is extended by a hierarchy in the Factory. Any number of sub-documents can be subordinated to a master document. The chapters as well as the Word, Excel and PowerPoint files of the master document are inherited by the sub-documents. The chapter structure and the structure of the Excel tables are fixed by the master document. Word and PowerPoint files, on the other hand, can be edited in the respective sub-documents. An import can be carried out individually in each document, as already known from SmartNotes. In addition, if the Factory module is installed, there is the option of carrying out an import centrally for all sub-documents, provided that a flat list is available as an import file and the same chart of accounts and a unique sub-ID are available for each sub-document.
Notes on installation and implementation SmartNotes Factory can supplement an existing SmartNotes installation or be used as a stand-alone product. If SmartNotes is already in use, the display and the scope of functions of the cockpit remain unchanged, as long as no sub-documents are created for existing documents. From SmartNotes version 2.7 onwards, the Factory is included in the scope of delivery and can be activated via a purchased licence. |
