Die Funktionen zur Veränderung des Abhängigkeitszustandes in einem Masterdokument werden „Push“ genannt. Inhalte werden hier vom Master an ein oder mehrere Subdokumente „durchgedrückt“.
Entsprechen in einem Kapitel alle Word-Dateien in den Subdokumenten dem Master, wird die Datei im Master nicht markiert. Lediglich bei abweichenden Dateien in einem oder mehreren Subdokumenten wird die Datei im Master „gelb“ eingefärbt.
Sofern eine Datei vom Master abweicht, können die Push-Funktionen per Rechtsklick aufgerufen werden.

Im folgenden Dialog kann sowohl eingesehen werden, welche Subdokumente vom Master abweichen, als auch diese Veränderung rückgängig gemacht werden. Die Anpassungen in der jeweiligen Datei der markierten Subdokumente geht hierbei verloren. Die Referenz zum Master wird wiederhergestellt.

Es wird empfohlen, diese Funktion mit Bedacht zu verwenden.

Select the desired variant in the following dialogue.

• Use Current File - if you do not want to apply the change from the master.
• Merge Files - if you want to use the contents of both snippets (master and sub).
• Use Master File - if you want to replace the current snippet with the content from the master.
• Tie file back to Master - if you want to replace the current snippet with a reference from the Master.

If all Word files in the sub-documents in a chapter correspond to the master, the file is not marked in the master. Only in the case of deviating files in one or more sub-documents is the file in the master coloured "yellow".

If a file deviates from the master, the push functions can be called up by right-clicking.

In the following dialogue, you can see which sub-documents deviate from the master and also undo these changes. The adjustments in the respective file of the marked sub-documents are lost. The reference to the master is restored.

It is recommended to use this function with caution.
