With version 2.9, 2-factor authentication (2FA) was also built into SmartNotes. The check mark can be set for a user in the user administration. To use the 2FA in SmartNotes, a mobile phone and an authentication app are required. SmartNotes 2FA is compatible with all common authentication apps (e.g. Microsoft or Google).

Zuerst muss der 2FA Zugang aktiviert werden. Hierzu wird die Benutzerverwaltung geöffnet und der Benutzer bearbeitet. Dann wird der Haken für die 2FA gesetzt. Diese Auswahl muss für jeden Benutzer vorgenommen werden.

Sobald der Haken gesetzt wurde, wird dies in der Übersicht unter "F2A Enabled" angezeigt.

Bei der nächsten Anmeldung wird der Benutzer aufgefordert, einen QR-Code zu scannen. Dies kann in der Regel über die Kamera des Mobiltelefons geschehen, die installierte Authenticator App wird dann automatisch angeboten und kann ausgewählt werden.

In der Authenticator App wird nun das Konto "AMANA SmartNotes" sowie der entsprechende Benutzername angezeigt. Darunter befindet sich ein 6-stelliger Code, der sich alle 30 Sekunden erneuert. Dieser Code muss in dem Eingabefeld eingetragen werden.

Nach der Ersteinrichtung muss nun zum Start von SmartNotes das Passwort und der 6-stellige Code aus der Authenticator App eingegeben werden.

Sollte die 2FA zurückgesetzt werden müssen, etwa durch den Verlust oder die Beschädigung des Mobiltelefons, kann dies über die Benutzerverwaltung vorgenommen werden. Mit Bearbeitung des Benutzers kann das Passwort zurückgesetzt werden. Diese Funktion setzt nicht nur das Passwort, sondern auch die 2 Faktor Authentifizierung zurück.

First, the 2FA access must be activated. To do this, open the CloudUser Center and edit the user. Then the check mark for 2FA is set. This selection must be made for each user.
