If fail-safe operation is desired, the business logic layer can be operated in a load balancer, the availability of individual server applications (health check) can be monitored and, if necessary, a database cluster can be used.

System requirements of the components

AMANA does not provide support for old software versions that are no longer maintained by the vendors. These include the operating system, the browsers, the database management system and the web application server.

Database

• at least Microsoft SQL Server 2019

• Current multi-core server processor/system and at least 8 GB RAM.

• The database must be UTF-8 encoded

• Authorisation to "CREATE", "INSERT", "UPDATE", "DELETE", "ALTER" on the database, for Oracle: CONNECT + RESOURCE authorisation.

• We recommend at least 50 GB as hard disk size

• A regular backup of the database schemas is strongly recommended.Applikationsserver (Web Application Server)

It is recommended to install database server and web application server on different hardware / servers.

The following software should be available on the application server:

• Java version: JDK 17 (AMANA tests the application with Oracle's JDK 17 and Eclipse Temurin 17 from the Adoptium Working Group).

• JDBC driver for the database used

• TDH version older than 24.1.1: Apache Tomcat 9.0.xx (Tomcat version 10.xx must not be used under any circumstances!)

• TDH version 24.1.1 and newer: only Tomcat 10.1

• Current multi-core server processor/system and at least 8 GB RAM

• We recommend at least 50 GB as hard disk size

Web browser

• Current Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Edge Chromium

• JavaScript must be allowed in the browser for the application
